Cleaning Your Home

It is so easy to make your own home cleaning supplies. Homemade cleaning agents do not contain harmful, untested chemicals and will not make you or your family members sick. They are every bit as effective as their chemical laden - store bought counterparts and they don't cost very much money to make.

Use Bon Ami instead of Ajax which contains chlorine. Bon Ami is a good abrasive scrub and contains no detergent, bleach, perfume, chlorine, or dyes.

Baking soda is a soft, clean powder, and will not scratch. It kills fungus and is effective on grease and dirt. Keep an opened box of baking soda in your refrigerator to control odor. Keep a box in your bathroom as well.

Vinegar will get rid of 99 percent of odors, germs, and mold. You can use organic food-grade apple-cider vinegar - it does not smell as strong as white vinegar. Keep a big bottle of vinegar in your wash room; use one cup in your rinse cycle to get all of the soap out of your clothes after washing.

Dilute all-natural liquid dish-washing soap with water to clean your entire house. A little bit of soap goes a long way: if you use to much you will have to spend a fair amount of time getting the soap bubbles off of what you were cleaning.

An easy mix of water and all-natural dish soap will clean the fridge; wash the floors, counters, walls, and windows. Add a little bit of Bon Ami to the mix and scrub your tiles and sink, then use the apple-cider vinegar if there is mold. To make your toilet sparkle, pour some in baking soda and let sit.
