 Do you often feel bloated and lethargic? The foods we eat affect everything about us — from how we look physically to how we feel emotionally, as well as our level of energy, our ability to fight off infections and our risk for developing chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.  BPA

Did any components of your last three meals come from a can? If so, chances are the can was lined with bisphenol A (BPA).  The US Food and Drug Administration recently banned the use of BPA in baby bottles, sippy cups and infant-formula packaging. On its website, the agency says “some studies have raised questions” about the effect of BPA exposure on “the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and young children.” However, the FDA still allows the chemical to be used for lining the insides of tin and aluminum food- and beverage-product cans, as a component in plastic containers, and as an ingredient in dental sealants.

 Arsenic

Did you have water or juice with any of your meals yesterday? If so, then you likely ingested a certain amount of inorganic arsenic.  The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) allows public drinking water to contain 10 parts per billion (ppb) of the semi-metal element, which gets into the system either by erosion from natural deposits or by waste runoff from glass- and electronic-manufacturing facilities.

 Conversely, in setting the standard, the EPA noted that studies have linked arsenic to an increased risk for “cancer of the bladder, lungs, skin, kidney, nasal passages, liver and prostate.”

 Moreover, the FDA follows the same standard, allowing fruit juices and bottled water to contain 10 ppb of such inorganic arsenics as dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) and monomethylarsonic acid (MMA), which equates to about 10 micrograms per liter.

 When most people hear the word “arsenic,” they think of the organic, carbon-containing versions (such as monosodium methanearsonate and disodium methanearsonate), which are used as pesticides.  For the most part however, organic arsenics have not been found to be detrimental to human health. 

 In their natural form, these semi-metallic elements are found in rocks, soil, and ground and surface water.  In fact, there are more than 200 different types of arsenic sulfides and minerals; and organic arsenic is even in the atmosphere, particularly near metal processing industries such as mining operations and smelters.  

 Food, consumer products contain inorganic arsenic

 The US Department of Health and Human Services’s Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry has designated inorganic arsenic, which is formed when arsenic is combined with elements other than carbon, as a carcinogen.  These cancer-causing types of arsenic are typically used during industrial processes.

 For example, wood-product manufacturers use inorganic, chromated copper arsenate (CCA) in products such as residential decks and porches, picnic tables and playground play sets to ward off insects and to protect wood from rotting and from microbial contamination, such as mildew.  Although the industry has been making an effort to discontinue using CCA, there are no federal regulations prohibiting it as an ingredient in consumer products. 

 Meanwhile, experts say that the most abundant source of inorganic arsenic is found in drinking water. It is also found in juices and other drinks that contain water as well as some foods, such as carrots and rice.  This is because waste runoff from factories causes inorganic arsenic to get into drinking-water and food-irrigation systems.  In addition to wood products, inorganic arsenics are used at plants that manufacture ammunition, metal adhesives, and lasers and semiconductors as well as at factories that process paper, paints and dyes, glass, textiles and leather products, and even some pharmaceuticals. 

 Up until 2011, the poultry industry used an arsenic-based animal drug — 3-Nitro (roxarsone) — to help prevent coccidiosis, an intestinal parasitic infection that occurs in chickens and other animals.  However, similar organic, arsenic-based drugs are still used in the feeds given to food-producing poultry and swine.

 Additionally, a form of inorganic arsenic is a component in cigarettes; and environmental studies have confirmed its presence in the indoor air of homes with residents who are smokers.

 Cancer risk, other health problems

 Studies have linked the ingestion of inorganic arsenic to bladder, kidney, liver, prostate, lung and skin cancers.  Moreover, research has associated inorganic arsenic intake with reproductive and developmental toxicity as well as an increased risk for congenital heart disease.

 Meanwhile, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) allows public drinking water to contain 10 parts per billion (ppb) of inorganic arsenic but its presence has been documented at higher levels in rural water sources and personal wells.  Still, the US Food and Drug Administration follows the EPA’s standard, allowing fruit juices and bottled water to contain 10 ppb of such inorganic arsenics as dimethylarsinic acid and monomethylarsonic acid.

The symptoms of “Toxic Overload”

From ancient times to modern day, body cleansing has been one of the most important factors in maintaining good health. The human body is always in a state of self-cleansing; the liver, kidney, and colon rely on a healthy diet for the vital nutrition required to carry out their processes.

What exactly is a parasite?

Candida overgrowth is a very common problem right now mostly due to the Standard American Diet which is based on grains and refined sugars. Antibiotics can also contribute to the overgrowth.

Candida is a yeast that occurs naturally in our intestines, it thrives on sugary – flour based foods and it can get out of control quickly. (3) Increase your intake of essential oils, especially omega-3 oils. These include: Fish oils, and oily fish, like salmon, mackerel, tuna-in-oil, sardines-in-oil, etc.; Flax-seed oil, one tablespoon or three capsules twice daily. Avocadoes, nuts, olives and olive-oil, canola and other vegetable oils are mostly omega-6, which are also good but not as lacking in our diets. Primrose or Borage oil is good too. Any of these oils can be used as a substitute for canola or olive oil, on breads and salads.
(4) Avoid antibiotics and cortisone-type prescriptions if at all possible.

Enjoy these foods also; Onions and garlic, fresh vegetables and their juices (beware of carrot juice it contains a lot of sugar)rice cakes, oat cakes (unmalted), butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, (no other dairy). Herbs, mild spices, freshly cracked nuts, seeds, fresh water, fruit and herb teas cold pressed oils brown rice and flours, use for cakes and pastry etc. oats (oatmeal makes an excellent breakfast , make with water and serve with nuts, seeds and yogurt. Meats, unprocessed and preferably organic or free-range. Fish, preferably unprocessed and wild, oily fish is best! Eggs, lentils, peas and beans.

Eat 2/3 of your daily intake in the form of nutritious healthy salads. Add a bit of fish or chicken as you like. Remember to stick to the guidelines above. Use salad dressings that you can make yourself that have unfiltered apple cider vinegar. You can make the Good seasons dressing (which can be purchased at any grocery store) Italian dressing, this way you can add your own oil (olive oil) and the vinegar. This vinegar is very good for you and has many therapeutic properties.

You can add a teaspoon of fresh ground flax (grind it yourself with a coffee grinder everyday right before you use it for best results) to your salads. Flax is very good for your digestion and will help balance your body.

Turmeric is a wonderful spice that you can add to salads and chicken. It also has therapeutic properties that you will benefit from right now.Make sure to drink plenty of water with this diet and the program. Good water intake is also crucial good colon lubrication. It will assist you in the cleanse and it’s also a good habit to keep indefinitely.

Exercise when you can, it is very important to retain good health, vitality and youthfulness. Walk, run, go to the gym.make an effort and stick with it. You will see results!
